Along The Rails

Let’s give it up for two year old Cocoa Beach, who punched in a big win in the Beldame Stakes at Saratoga.  We all need to root for Cocoa Beach, because Cocoa Beach is one of my favorite places in the whole entire world, and I’m so excited about this that I’m not even going to try to figure out why a Thoroughbred born in Chile and has raced in the Middle East is named after an American spit of sand.

Oh, and she’s not related to the aforehailed Cocoa Beach Rocket outside of ties to Seattle Slew (but then again, what yougin’ isn’t related to Seattle Slew these days.)  It’s just a really happy, really awesome coincidence.
