Along The Rails

The focus of industry writing/commentary/betting/general jumping up and down and freaking tends to focus at the sunshinest tracks with the biggest purses.  There’s a reason why Jockeys is set at Santa Anita (or, as we like to call it here at Along The Rails courtesy of Toby Mcguire in Seabiscuit,  “SAAAAANTA ANIIIIITA!”)  I mean, there’s a reason Bo Derek isn’t filmed staring at a Pick 6 at the G.W. Bridge Bus Terminal OTB.

Otherwise, you’re a Triple Crown race, or you ain’t nothin’.  There’s not even a great deal of attention played to the Breeders’ Cup in the mainstream media, because the MSM, it fears oddly placed apostrophes.
