Along The Rails

Last week, I told you that Curlin workout as his connections weighed whether or not to enter him in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at the end of the month.  That’s the race in which he might enter the gate against the most media-pumped rival he’s never seen, Big Brown.

Now here’s an update from the Big Brown side:  The little colt that nearly could had a workout at Aqueduct, and it was very, very good:  six furlongs in 1:14.64.  That’s pretty durned fast, for you newbies out there.

Owner Michael Iavarone declared one and all “ready to roll.”  And you thought this Presidential election was exciting.
