There are (unfortunately, for some) endless supplies of clothes for dogs and cats– hoodies, hats, sweaters, Halloween costumes.  What about the discerning T-bred owner who wants his horse to put its best hoof forward?

Well, beyond a fashionable blanket, or perhaps this, you’re pretty much out of luck if you want your horse to make a fashion statement.  But that’s partially because the entrants will forever be sartorially overshadowed by the glaring silks of their jockeys, and, at major races, the hats of the ladies.

But at major equestrian events, riders and grooms sometimes make use of the horse’s crowning glory.  The thick hair in manes and tails are good for braiding, and some weave ribbons or other colors to make an entrant look his or her best.  But there’s no word on whether or not there’s extra hair care on breeding days.
