New wager at Churchill Downs: Fifteen possibilites on the thing. They’re calling it… the Matrix.
I took about five milliseconds to decide if this is a stupid idea or not, and have now firmly come down on the side of “stupid.” Not the bet itself. If you can spin out that type of thing and not blow a neuron, God bless. Where stupid comes in is the name. You know what happens in the Matrix? CGI happens, and stupid sequels, and Keanu Reeves says things like “I’m never letting go. I can’t. I just love you too damn much.” No… no, I am not betting in the Matrix.
See?? See what happens when you begin to speak ill of the Matrix and The One? You get senseless text comments spewed either by drunk agents or enraged geeks ;-)

PS: I also tire of the endless abuse of the word.
